Cameroon Retains Leadership Of Confederation Of African Athletics
Cameroon's sports diplomacy has remained afloat with the re-election of Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboum for another mandate at the helm of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).
Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboum was re-elected as the president of the CAA yesterday April 15, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. He received 44 as against 7 votes which were cast in favour of his contestant, Tunisian-born Khaled Ahmed.
Kalkaba Malboum will again steer affairs at the helm of CAA for the next four years and will have as first task to ensure that Africa bags home as many medals as possible in the upcoming Olympics billed for Tokyo, Japan.
