Bouteflika To Resign By End Of April
The incumbent president of Algeria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, will not go to the end of his mandate as his resignation has been announced for April.
The information was hinted by the Algerian Minister of Defence after a private chat with the president.
Algerians have been to the streets since February 10, 2019 to demand the departure of Bouteflika and all his government after the incumbent announced his intention to run for another mandate.
Bouteflika has been at the helm of affairs in Algeria since 1999, and in 2015 he suffered a stroke which has left him running State affairs from a wheelchair since then.
