Senate Donates 100 Million Fcfa To Support Fight Against Coronavirus
The March session of Parliament has ended after 30 days of intense work that also saw the re-election of Senator Niat Njifendji Marcel as the President of the Senate.
While closing the session at the Senate this Saturday, the Senate President announced, among others things, the donation of an envelope of 100 million F CFA to support government's fight against a common enemy called Coronavirus.
Senator Niat Njifendji Marcel also lashed out against leaders of some political parties for trying to set up counter solidarity initiatives instead of working hand-in-glove with government.
Earlier on, the March session was also declared closed at the National Assembly by the House Speaker, Honourable Cavaye Yegue Djibril, who made no statement about supporting the government financially in this struggle to bar the way to Coronavirus.
In the meantime, Adamawa has added to the list of regions to have recorded, at least a case of the infection, after an elite of the region who by-passed confinement was tested positive of the infection.
