Limbe Authorities Want Traditional Key Withdrawn From Sdf Chairman
Municipal and traditional authorities of Limbe have been heaping accusations at the Paramount chief-elect of the seaside resort town, Chief John Elufa Manga Williams, for handing the traditional key to the town to John Fru Ndi.
After the mayors of Limbe I, II, and III lambasted Chief Manga Williams for the gesture which they said is reserved for municipal authorities, traditional rulers of Limbe met this Monday to deliberate on the matter.
The chiefs in question have ordered the Paramount chief-elect of Limbe to apologize to his peers for exercising functions meanwhile his position is still pending confirmation by the Minister of Territorial Administration.
They have equally asked Chief Manga Williams to write to John Fru Ndi informing him that the traditional key he handed to him when he came visiting on Thursday, June 13, has been withdrawn.
The chiefs who signed the declaration, fourteen of them in number, have asked Chief Manga Williams to desist from acting in his capacity as the Paramount chief of Limbe until when he should have been officially recognized by the Minister of Territorial Administration.
