The ministry of youth affairs and civic education officially launched the 6th edition of the operation civic and patriotic holiday, with theme Youth Voluntary Commitment for the Environmental Protection and fight against COVID-19. This operation will run through July 6th which was yesterday to August 31 2021.
The 6th edition of the operation Civic and Patriotic holidays was structured around two official activities as well as raising awareness and volunteering activities. The launch took place at the national and local levels. At the local level, a solemn launch of the operation coupled with the CRTV programme “Useful Holidays” by the minister of youth affairs and civic education at the MINJEC esplanade headquarters building, at the local level, still yesterday, the operation was launched in regions by the president of CORECIN, via an exchange session between young people and the selected resource persons face to face and video conference and lastly, the minister, Mounouna Foutso and his counterparts launched the mobilization, information and sensitization Caravan on the vaccination of the population against the coronavirus in the seven subdivisions of Mfoundi, as well as the operation one subdivision/village one green space. At the end of the ceremony, citizens pledged to commit themselves to promote the values of citizenship and living together among the youth, promote and encourage voluntary commitment among young people through implementation of activities of community interest , develop green spaces and reforestation. All these will be done to promote patriotism, the preservation of peace and living together with respect to laws and regulations of the republic of Cameroon.
